Scan to open the chat

Where a WhatsApp QR code works best

  • Shop windows and counters: customers scan and ask about a product without calling or emailing.
  • Restaurant menus and table tents: reservations, takeaway orders and feedback straight into WhatsApp.
  • Flyers, posters and packaging: use a different pre-filled message per campaign so you know which one brought the chat.
  • Business cards and invoices: a “Message us on WhatsApp” QR gets far more scans than a printed phone number.

Three tips before you print

  1. Test the QR code with a second phone before printing a thousand copies — scan it and check the chat opens with the right number and message.
  2. Keep a quiet zone. Leave white space around the code (the downloaded PNG already includes a margin) and don't print it over busy backgrounds.
  3. Print big enough. Minimum 2 × 2 cm for hand-held materials, 5 × 5 cm or more for anything people scan from a distance.

People are messaging you — now reply at scale

A QR code starts conversations one at a time. When you need to follow up with hundreds of contacts — personalized text, AI-written variants, voice notes, safe sending limits — WhatsApp Sender Tool does it from WhatsApp Web. No account: buy a license code and paste it into the extension.

WhatsApp QR code FAQ

Is this WhatsApp QR code generator really free?

Yes. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser — your number and message are never uploaded anywhere. No sign-up, no watermark, no expiry.

Do WhatsApp QR codes expire?

No. The QR code simply encodes your wa.me link, so it works as long as your number stays active on WhatsApp. Unlike some generators, there is no redirect through our servers that could break later.

What size should I print the QR code?

At least 2 × 2 cm for close-range scanning (business cards, table tents) and 5 × 5 cm or larger for posters and shop windows. The downloaded PNG is high resolution, so you can scale it up without losing quality.

Can I add a pre-filled message to the QR code?

Yes. Type your message in the message field and it is encoded into the QR code. When someone scans it, WhatsApp opens with your text already in the chat box — great for knowing which flyer or location the scan came from.

What is the difference between this and the QR code inside WhatsApp?

WhatsApp's built-in QR code only shares your number. This generator lets you add a pre-filled message and gives you a clean, print-ready PNG file you can place on any design.

Can I track how many people scan the QR code?

A direct wa.me QR code has no analytics. If you need scan counts, use a pre-filled message unique to each placement ("Hi, I saw the poster on Main Street") — the message tells you where each chat came from.
